Water pollution is the serious problem of the East-Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, and the water quality control of Dawen River is very important for the East-Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project. The dissertation regarded Tai'an section of Dawen River as the research object, made preliminary researches on the water pollution control and water quality prediction. It was based on flow characteristic, hydrological data and water quality data of Dawen River, A fuzzy math method was compared with the traditional method to assess water quality of Dawen River water quality, The variation tendency of water quality was analyzed. It shows that Dawen River has already been polluted seriously, specific measures to control water pollution has been put forward in the dissertation.Though many relevant laws have stipulated discharge standards of various kinds of pollutants , the total amount of pollutant entering into the environment has not been stipulated. So the total amount of pollutant that entering into the environment may exceed the total amount that the environment can hold, thus the serious environmental pollution may be caused. So at present, discharged pollutant is being controlled by the density and the total amount. Water environmental capacity reflects the laws of movement, transformation and storage of the pollutant in the environment, and it reflects the endurance of the environment against the pollution in specific functional condition. The calculation of water environmental capacity is a key content of amount control model. The dissertation calculated water environmental capacity and distribution of amount of drained pollutant for Tai'an section of Dawen River .Water quality prediction model was set up.
