| With the more and more thin thickness of hot rolling strip sheet, the hot rolling strip sheet have been widely used in auto fabrication, household appliance, container, paint sheet, high quality weld-pipe, galvanization sheet, construction industry and so on. And it becomes a trend to replace traditional cold rolling strip sheet with hot rolling one in some industry area.Shape profile is one of the most important quality indexes for hot rolling thin strip steel, which get more and more concerns form the follow-up industry. This paper, which base on the deep investigation and study of the exist shape profile detection methods, puts forward a method using stick shape laser to detect hot rolling strip sheet shape profile and detail its detection principle and specialty. And the simulation experiment is carried out with the experimental device developed by the writer. The results as follow:1.The error made by vibration, flotation and lateral oscillation is diminished with this method.2.The shape profile defect of hot rolling strip sheet digital handing from linear facular captured by the CCD camera well tallies with the real shape profile..3.The contrast between detecting result and cutaway analyze shows that shape profile difference value is no more than 5.0I, which can fully meet the real-time precision of online detection.4.This original detection method request simple devise have a great potential to popularize it.The method putted forward in this paper can decrease the influence, caused by the bad environment, high temperature and water vapor in the hot rolling strip sheep product line, on shape profile detection. So this shape profile detection device can easily transplant to actualproduct field for the shape profile detecting.
