With the advancement of science and technology, modern product facilities become automatic, integrate and large-scale. Undoubtedly, the structure of product facilities turns to more complex. As a result, fault diagnosis gets into more and more important in facilities maintenance. Owing to the application of network, status inspection and fault diagnosis develop from brush-fire to distributing, and distribute inspecting and remote diagnosing appear which based opening network. Data service is the key to distribute inspecting and remote diagnosing which is also the bridge to them.In the background of the corporative key project in Guangzhou between ZhuJiang Iron and Steel Ltd. Co. (ZIS) and Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT), the dissertation studys the remote inspection and fault diagnosis of CSP facilities. Masses of process data files are produced during the CSP rolling mill running in ZIS. In order to realize the equipment remote status inspection and fault diagnosis, we can define the status of running equipment by analyzing these data files. The key to status inspecting is how to analyze and process signals and extract their characteristic. Having the information of running equipment, we can improve fault knowledge by data mining which is effective to diagnosis, and afford accessorial decision supporting to fault diagnosis. The development of fault diagnosis in internal and overseas is introduced in this dissertation. Then, the author analyzes the design of data service system in chapter two and realization in chapter seven. In workplace, three-layer mechanism is used to control facilities during running. Studying with the actural condition of locale inspecting and controlling, the author brings forward the project of remote data collection and some methods of signal processing and characteristic extraction. As to masses of data, the author studies compression method in chapter four, and gives a feasible way to solve the requirement of real-time in data transmission and storage. In chapter five, the interface technology...
