Now, most of bond-capability research on wood-based panels not only limit to qualitative analysis, but also few factors are involved. Base on former study, this subject try to research on the effect of many factors acting on bond-capability, then analysis the extent of effect for reducing blindness in real production , guaranteeing quality, improving produce efficiency and reducing the costs . But wood is anisotropic natural material, factors of affecting bond- capability are complicate. Even the element of wood-based panel, there are different in their bond manners and interfaces. So the subject just research on bond-capabihcy of wood-based panel with veneer as construction element.The factors of experiment inciude veneer genus, adhesive, glue spread, moisture content of veneers and veneer lay-up orientation. The study result shows: Bond capability are different with different veneers .The bond capability of Liquidambar formosana Hance is best ,then are .Schima superba Gardnet.Populus simoniicarr,Pinus massioniana lamb, Paulownia fortunei Hemsl in turn. The bond capability of MDI is better than UF's with the same glue spread except for Paulownia fortunei Hemsl. Glue spread affect bond capability greatly. When we take MDI as glue, the bend strength of Schima superba Gardnet, Liquidambar formosana Hance.Populus simoniicarr block-board achieved national standard with 250g/m2 glue spread, while the Pinus massioniana lamb and Paulownia fortunei Ilemsl glue spread respective is 300 g/m2 and 400 g/m2.The bond strength of plywood achieved national standard when glue spread is 250/m2, except for Paulownia fortunei Hemsl. Moisture content are important on bond capability. Applying UF adhesive, bond strength of Populus simoniicarr plywood achieve national standard with 8%,whei. Liquidambar formosana Hance plywood is 16%.Applying MDI ,thc bond strength of plywood achieve national standard when the moisture content of Populus simoniicarr and Liquidambar formosana Hancemoisture are 12% and 20%.With same material and technics ,bond strength of parallel lay-up is higher than upright lay-up.There are linear relation between transverse MOR(y) and bond-strength(x) by linear regression analysis: y=5.486+ 10.983x. It can reflect mechanics capability of panel visually.Researching on effect of wood based panel capability caused by the factors include veneer genus, adhesive, glue spread, moisture content of veneer and veneer lay-up orientation. Elementary quantitative index of bond conditions of veneer wood based panel was educed, witch have guide meaning in real production.
