Research Of The Reverse Engineering Application In Mould Design And Manufacture

This paper aims at the development and application of reverse engineering (RE) in international and natural field and introduces each way of RE synthetically, finally we take the digitalization equipment of coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for RE as there search object. To recover the original geometry parameter for our best is our tenet. How to limit the error of RE and model fast and accurately is our advanced research content At the same time, NC machining plays an important role in CAD/CAM domain and is one of the most efficient procedures in practical product machining thus are critical in NC programming research. This paper makes summaries of the author's work during his study in pursuing an engineering Master's Degree, and it includes the following content:1.We study mainly in aspect of selection of CMM probe, programming of measuring track, deciding of measuring mode and selection of measuring increment to reduce the measuring error. Especially we bring forward the settle project of identification and extraction of solid sample and precise orientation of different face position.2.The theory and experiment of curve and face modeling of NURBS were explored and validated by experiment. At the same time, some of the industry products were demonstrated accordingly to the coordinate measuring machine.3.The different way of curve fitting was introduced in this paper. We demonstrated with the imitation and experiment, and exert the efficiency and accuracy of CMM at the most.4. Based on the 3-axis rough cutting, the paper introduces the knowledge of NC and rough cutting as well as imitation of the NC interpolation and explain some algorithms and methods in NC programming.baseing on this theories, some of the industry products were machined by using CAD/CAM soft, such as Pro/E, Mastercam.
