Nano-silica particles treated by silicane coupling agent on the surface were introduced into the blends of Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and the blend membranes were prepared. The morphology, and thermal properties of the blends and the rebound elasticity of the membranes were studied.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) showed that the TPU was fine dispersed in the blends because of the introduction of Nano-silica particles treated by silicane coupling agent on the surface.Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs exhibited multi-microporous structures of biaxial stretching PTFE/TPU membranes. The PTFE and the TPU of the membranes were stretched into small fibers. The PTFE fibers were stretched from the raw fibers of the PTFE particles, and the TPU attached to the PTFE was also stretched into small fibers.
