Lots of practices have proved that turn over heavy rail manually is ineffective. Making use of the computer, electronic and controlling technology become necessary to solve this problem. This paper introduced the key techniques that control the heavy rail tilter .It also presented the AC asynchronous electromotor locating techniques, Controlling system in detail.For the problem of locating the rotation angle to the steel fork of the tilter and the AC asynchronous motor locating technology, this paper discussed in details. By analyzing the mechanical characteristics of the three states of the brake about applying the repayment , the reversing connection of the stator and the consumption of energy, We drew the conclusion that the state of the brake about applying the repayment can not appear in the location of the angle of rotation to the steel fork of the tilter, but the reverse braking of the stator connections and the braking of energy consumption can be used for solving the problem of locatiing the angle of rotation to the steel fork of the tilter.The reverse braking of the stator connections and the braking of energy consumption are simulated by dynamic simulation tool SIMULINK in MATLAB. The result is compared with the free stopping. Under the consideration of convenience, economy and utilization, the reverse braking of the stator connections is used .The control time is defined by PLC timer.In addition, the motor's speed problem is solved by Space vector frequency speed regulating. The type 6SX7023-4EC61 transducer is applied to control the speed of the motor effectively.By applying the reverse braking of the stator connections to the location of the steel fork and space vector frequency speed regulating techniques to control the speed of motor, We obtained the accurate, steady, fast localization result. The full digital controlling system got good applications in the industry.
