Now,most of sintering machines carry out thick layer agglomeration basically, butstill exist some problems to solve,among them one of the key problems is the bad ventingquality of the layer . To improve the venting quality of the layer, the key is to improve thegranulating efficiency of sinter mixture, to improve the grain size composition of sintermixture .Through the systematic experiment research on the mixing and granulatingprocess of sinter of Tangshan I&S Co, we can discover:Although the bentonite can improve granulating efficiency in the sphericagglomeration production, but have no this kind of function in sintering production, evenaffect the improvement the granulating efficiency of sinter mixture. The quantity of thecalcium oxide contain very big function in the granulating efficiency of sinter mixture, Thecalcium oxides of steel-making plant which have high activity even can improve thegranulating efficiency of sinter mixture comparing with the calcium oxides of iron-making plant which have low activity . In addition, the match of calcium oxide has muchinfluence to the granulating efficiency of sinter mixture. When controlling the match ofcalcium oxide in 2%~3% or so, the granulating efficiency of sinter mixture makes a bestresult. The granulating efficiency of sinter mixture improves gradually when the grain sizeof dolomite,steel slag and limestone fall from 0~3mm to 0~2mm. the impact of thekind and match of material to the effect of mixing and making grain of sinter mixture isgreat, and rational materials match is the effective measure to improve the granulatingefficiency of sinter mixture. The moisture content of sintering mixture is one of the keyfactors that decides the granulating efficiency. When the moisture content of sinteringmixture is 7% or so, the granulating efficiency of sinter mixture is good . It's bad when themoisture content of sintering mixture is too high or too low. The filling rate and rotationalspeed of the cylinder mix machine is very important to the granulating efficiency of sintermixture. To a cylinder mix machine with diameter 600mm, the fitting filling rate is 10% orso and the fitting rotational speed is 20rpm. To a large extent the mixing time decides thegranulating efficiency of sinter mixture. The mixing time is more long, the granulatingefficiency is more good. But when the mixing time exceeds 7 minute, the improvementextent of granulating efficiency declines.
