Loopers are very important in tandem hot rolling producing. Whether its arecontrolled well is related with the quality of tandem. Take the character of hot-rolling intoaccount, speediness is integrant. But PID controller that it is adopted in modern controlsystem has the disadvantage that overshoot is excess and dynamic response time is longer.A control method of adopting the Fuzzy controller with dynamic compensation to controlthe loopers'height is putted forward. This controller not only has the merit of Fuzzycontroller but also can improve the precision in the steady process and can control thecomplicated muti-variable system. In this controller, its inputs are loopers'height error anderror's diversification, and its output is the amendment to the upper main driving. Thismethod adds a feedback regulative tache and a dynamic compensator on the base of Fuzzycontroller. It has characters of simple design and of convenient and flexible application.In the main drive system of mills, we adopt double loops DC motor control system. Inorder to ensure that the second metal flux between mills is equal in the rolling process, itmust modify the speed of every upriver mill with the same proportion at the same timemodify the speed of this mill. That is so-called converse adjustment. In the timing process,the speed of the last mill is regard as the datum speed and the regulative signal movesgradually from button to top. At this rate, we can control the temperature at ending rollingbetter and match the speed relation between two mills in finishing rolling better.In order to prove the advantage of the method——Fuzzy controller with dynamiccompensation——put forward in this paper, we simulate the two control method–Fuzzycontrol with dynamic compensation and traditional PID control, and give the simulativegraph. Matlab is a simulative tool that its application is the most extensive in the controlfield, and its Simulink tool has the character of blocking,repeating load,easyencapsulation,program based on framework diagram and visualize. It improve thesimulative efficiency and the reliability consumedly. In this paper, we start with theenactment calculation in finishing rolling with related of loopers control, and modeling andsimulink the whole loopers'control process with the tool of Matlab/Simulink. At the last,we educe the merit of the Fuzzy control with dynamic by way of comparing withtraditional PID control.
