The gas is one of the most important factors which endanger the security of the mining production. The gas hazard is one of the most serious hazards. The local of the range of the mining exploit from which the gas emit is named the origin of the gas. The number of the origin of the gas emission and the amount of the different origin of the gas emission affect the mining exploit's gas emission quantity directly. The standard of the control of the gashazard has become the most significant element of the mining especially the high gas emission mining.This thesis, the author systematicly studies theproperty of coalber gas storage, adsorption and the theory of the gas migration in coal seams and its calculation method. According to analyse the characteristic of the working face, we define four sources of the gas emission: wall methane emission, fallen coal methane emission, goaf methan emission and the close seams methane emission.The author analyzes and summarizes the full-mechanized mining working face, which includes the proportion of gas emission quantity from goaf and the working face and the law of gas flow from the goaf. This thesis combines the characristic of different origin of the gas emission from the full-mechanized mining working face with the basic theory of gas flow in coal seams with single, globular and its calculation method. It deduces the law of the wall of the full-mechanized mining working faceand the fallen coal methane emission and also draw a conclusion by the practic data.By analyzing and summarizing the existent problems: the predict calculation method of the gas emission quantity from the working face, the theory of gas flow in coal seam, the law of gas emission quantity and the feature of the mining machine, this thesis forecasts the gas emission quantity from the different origion gas separately. It contributes a kind of method which predicts the gas emission quantity. Besides, it offers the way which determines the basic parameters.Finally, this technique was applied in the new TunLiu Mining of Lu'an CO.. According to the practice data, it analyzes the effects the speed of the working face to the gas emission quantity.
