The effect of excavation unloading has been studied on the ground of open-pit slope project in this thesis.In surface mining project, there is a great deal of excavation natural rock masses, At present, most of calculation analysis adopt routine parameters, models and methods of loading conditions, which are different to unloading conditions of excavation works, especially to open-pit slope, leading to discrepant results between calculation analysis and actual measurements. Elastic wedge model is used for analysis of excavation of homogeneous slope. On the basis of elastic plane-strain theory and the line folds to add theory, stress field of the excavation is got. Subjected to the dint of the rockbody under loading or unloading were analyzed, and some conclutions were drawn. The rock' s stress path and strain path under loading conditions is different from unloading, which is the basic reason, why the excavation rock is very differently effected under loading conditions or unloading. Using nonlinear elastoplastic model and FEM, this paper respectively studies the different distribution of stress field, displacement field under excavation loading and unloading. Some conclutions were drawn, this paper simulates under excavation unloading, which factually reflects mechanical characteristic and enough reflects unloading action due to excavation.
