Design Of Computer Control System Of VOD Furnaces And Study Of Control Algorithm

With the expansion of applied realm and the increment of the demand in stainless steel, the more and more higher requests for quantity of the stainless steel are made. During the several decades in stainless steel developmental history, numerous methods of steel making and processes of the craft appear.This thesis analyzes the VOD furnace system, which is a new item of one company of BAO steel; The VOD furnace computer control system based on the S7-300 PLC realizes the control of the furnace equipments, top blowing device, bottom blowing device, changing gun organization, cooling off the system of water, spraying powder/ blowing oxygen/ measuring temperature and sampling gun, degassing device.The design work uses WinCC, that is a product from Siemens, to configure the supervisory software, realizing the real-time data-logging, as well as various visual HMI with functions such as steel making time recording, record checking, alarming, reading and writing parameter of production.The control for top blowing is an important problem of the smelting process. We design PID controller which combined to expert control adjusts the output according to the value and character of error signal makes a good movement result in fact production.The computer control system for VOD furnace has been put into practical use, meets the need of manufacturing and works very well. So it not only has the significance of economy, but also has the value of engineering reference. The thesis presents the manufacturing flow of VOD furnace, whole structure of the control system, hardware selection, programming of control software, debugging of the control system etc. concretely.Finally, we draw a conclusion of the result of the dissertation, at the same time, point out the aspect that demand improved.
