Relating to environment protection and health, the study on radon and its progeny is a hot topic in recent years. The measurement to radon and its progeny involved many fields in different kinds of subjects, such as nuclear technology, electronics, geoscience, environment science etc.The paper based on how to measure radon and its progeny energy spectrum. It aims at the trend of Radon Apparatus development, combines the characteristics of field working and focuses on the trend of a energy spectrum measurement; systematic researches are carried out on some key techniques such as the design of Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA) and computerization of apparatus.The paper discusses about the a radial data collecting system of radon and its progeny which based on MCU (Micro-Control Units) designed by me in detail. The data collecting system adopted SOC(System Of Chip) MCU C8051F124 as controlling core, applied 320x240 matrix graphic LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and some necessarily human-computer interface and information indication. At meantime the system can use battery that can be recharged for power supply. It has power manage and also can switch master power with slave power one another automatically. The system adopts Chinese character input by keyboard and interacts in Chinese characters by computer, and it can automatically display and store spectrum data and accomplish a energy spectrum data handling synchronously. Moreover, the system can communicate with other computers by the interface of USB(Universal Serial Bus), which can enlarge functions such as data manage, memory, output the result of measurement etc. The Radon Apparatus Software system is written by C Language. Using the virtues of C language fully, which is convenient for handling data.
