With the development of the public's recognization about the importance of environmenmts,the biomonitor is more and more important in the security evaluating of the environments,and it is replacing the routine chemical monitor gradually. By different levels of biomonitor,we can get the different effects of different environments levels on human beings, and resolvethe integrated toxicity problems that the routine chemical biomonitor can not resolve. Thebiomonitor of water quality using different hydrobiont (including the vertebrate andinvertebrate) is the criterion of water quality status and it reflects the effects and hurt degreeof the environments changes to test animals directly. So it is a direct and available methods inthe monitoring of the environments quality. The biomonitor of water body is the key ofcontrolling the water pollution, and the biomarkers in biomonitroing of water quality canshow the toxicity effects of water pollutions on hydrobiont. Biomarkers system includes thelevels from community, unit to cell and molecule and the functions of different levels aredifferent in the biomonitoring of water quality too. So the diversity of biomonitoring of waterquality is formed.Conventional methods in monitoring the water quality are mainly the Chemistry analysisand Chemical sensor. But now, there is another kind of way in monitoring the water quality bythe behavioral changes of living hydrobiont, which we call the On-line Biomonitoring. Byanalyzing the data that were obtained and recorded by On-line biomonitoring, we can get thestatus of water quality. This kind of On-line biomonitoring techniques can reflect the changesof water quality quickly with the high sensitivity and low expense, especially to the severewater contamination, so they are taken into practice more and more abroad. It is consideredthat the On-line biomonitoring techniques have the advantages of early warning function thatcannot be substituted in monitoring the severe accident of water pollution, at the same timethey can be regarded as important methods in security estimate of water quality.Daphnia distributes abroad in China, and Daphnia magna is a standard test animal in water...
