This paper presents one sub-project of state's "tenth five-year" science and technology project "Research on Internet-based NC(Numeric Control) Machine tools Form Design and Humanized Interface Technologies and Implementations Based on the Knowledge of Design and Knowledge of User".According to the human's psychological cognition of color of NC machine product, this paper mainly focuses on the transformation of the emotional factors of color into quasi-rational techique which will surport the color design in the ICAID system.Based on Munsell's color harmony theory , the research adopted seven indexes of color harmony to surport the color design of the NC machine tools. Based on the experiment and correlation analysis, the study modified the so called M value which is a parameter of the aesthetics measurement proposed by Mospencer, and proved that when M > 0.887, the subjective measuring of easthitic scale was above 0, which means that the color design of NC Machine Tools is in color harmony.By the means of questionnaire, task analysis and verbal protocol, the experiements were carrid out to analyzed the color desing knowledge and user mistakes when using in ICAID system that was builded on the original color design module, an optimization and modification measure was proposed, and the whole color design process was divided into three steps: orientation, modification and evaluation. Finally, the study reconstructed the model of the processing architect of computer aided color design and reframed the aided knowledge.and expatiates the operational steps in the practical color design module. As the result, the research realized the color aided design in ICAID system.
