Along with the improvement of the automation level of rolling mill, establishing on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis for hydraulic AGC becomes one of the key techniques of modern rolling mills. It is highly important to develop such techniques for improving the productivity and the maintenance level of plant.This article is supported by one project whose name is establishing on-line monitoring and diagnosis system for 2800 rolling mills HAGC of WISCO (WUHAN Iron and Steel Company). Depending on the project, having made an extensive study on external and national related documents, we make a through study about on-line monitoring and diagnosis system.Starting with the framework and principle of 2800 rolling mills HAGC, we analyze the character of different simulative methods. We bring forward a simulative way which is basis on element's physical structure and face to object. By making use of simulation software whose name is AMESim , we make a diagnosis simulation. According to the rolling mill's actual working status which is belong to distributed control system and is controlled by some analog & discrete signals. By making use of some data being existed in old AGC control system, we empolder data's acquire technique which is based on VME bus and PLC system.Another is establishing hydraulic monitoring system on the base of Siemens-S7. we make a through investigate electrical & fluid servo system's fountain condition and its' invalidation strategy in detail. We carry through some sorts about rolling HAGC system's malfunction and discuss some constant fault and reason. We make arrangement decompose on HAGC system's diagnosis knowledge through a facing object denotation. Taking HAGC system's pressure as an example we analyze the realization of diagnosis knowledge.At last, we study on how to establish on-line monitoring and diagnosis system of HAGC. We put forward a technique scheme in which is established on the base of Siemens-S7& network. At the same time, by making use of configuration software we construct on-line monitoring system's software that has some practical value.
