The beveling machine in this paper is a portable machine traveling along pipes, cutting off and grooving pipe simultaneously. It can be used conveniently on offshore pipe line, jacket and large diameter oilcan.First the experiment on the machine is introduced by using sensor and data-collecting system, then the whole process of experiment. In the experiment, the beveling machine cuts off and bevels on the pipe in different speed and pressure. Therefore, the relation between the pressure and the flux of this working system can be achieved, which lays a theoretical foundation for the design of that machine.By analyzing and studying foreign machines, the scheme of beveling machine droved by three motors is studied out. The machine is made up of tensing equipment, guiding equipment, traveling wheels, feeding system of the machine, and gang of cutters consisting of two bevel cutters and one slice cutter. The connection of the matching load is carried out. In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy, the valve-controlled system is designed.The development of the beveling machine has the absolute patent right. Its designed capabilities have archived aim of overseas products. We believe that in future, the industrialization product of the machine will be competitive in the offshore project technology market where the competition is more and more severe.
