In the nature system of supporting, the decision of the jamb's size is most importantbecause the enough safe and proper jamb's size make it possible to make better use of theminerals. Especially, In a lack of mineral resource in our country, the study of the jamb'ssize is very important. In geotechnical engineering, the stress and deformation of structure could be reflectedmore truly through nonlinear theory and method. In the paper, the author built the three dimensional nonlinear model of the jamb in theNature System of Supporting and emulated and analyzed the structure by the large generalpurpose finite element analysis software ANSYS through the theory of nonlinear finiteelement.. During the post process, the results of analysis were displayed by many ways andanalyzed the relationship between jamb's size and strength and the relationship betweenjamb's size and the sink of the earth's surface. Then the conclusion is as follows: Thejamb's strength is enough for supporting the top rock body; As long as the thick of less 10meter, the sink of the earth's surface is no bigger than 10.5 mm. The building will not bedamaged. Then the analysis of arching was given for the safety of the result. As a result, theoptimized project was decided and it was well corresponding to the fact.
