With the development of science and technology, mechanical equipment and structure become high-speedy, light-duty increasingly, and the working environment is more complicated. Therefore, the vibration problem of the mechanical structure is concerned day by day which even causes the serious accident. With electronic technology growing, such technologies have got fast development as the computer technology, FFT analysis instrument, high-speed data collecting system, vibration sensor, vibration exciter, etc. This makes people enter a brand-new using stage of measuring and analyzing the vibration.The main frame of a coal preparation plant is metal frame structure; various kinds of coal separation equipments are installed on different horizontal planes of the frame according to the design craft, including vibrating screens and other kinds of machinery and equipment. When the equipments work, the main structure of the workshop even the whole factory building exist strong vibration and noise. These influence the running of the equipment, apparatusand instrument; and endanger the reliability of the mechanical structure. Strong vibration and noise not only threaten the safety in production, but also influence people's normal life seriously who live around the coal preparation plant.In this paper, dynamic test is performed for metal frame structure and vibration equipment which exist abnormal vibration. Through analyzing the testing data, got the operation characteristic of the equipment on the frame, evaluated efficiency of the equipments' vibrating isolation, and analyzed the vibrating response of the steel structure while the equipment running. On these bases, found out feature and cause of unusual shaking. At the same time, carried on finite element dynamic analysis to the steel structure and its component, and found out the nature frequency and vibration mode of every component. By comparing with the experiment test analysis result, evaluated rationality of these components application. At last, put forward a proposal of the modification scheme for the frame structure.
