The principle of "more crushing and less grinding" is considered as an effective way of decreasing consumptions of the energy and materials in grinding and crushing.And moreover,fine crushing is thought of as a direct means with which reducing the size of mill feed and "more crushing and less grinding" are realized.The pressure of the crushing machine,the theory of crushing consumption of energy and the application of the theory, and also the application and development of the crushing equipment.The vertical centrifugal mill is studied by kinematics and dynamics on the base of analyzing and calculating completely and systematically.Based on analyzing and caculating, the paper analizes the speed range of rotary shaft of the machine,the determination of the largest size of mill feed,the condition for being grand at least once during the falling of the materials,the condition for breaking plate being blocked not to revolve,the determination of the mill's power abrasion,and etc.Through many experiments,several important principles between working performance of mill and the relative working parameters are recovered,thus gaining some theoretic and calculative basis for the design of vetical centifugal mill,which provides firmly the base for scientific research and development of the vertical centifugal mill.Experiments have proved that the wear abrasion of the vertical centifugal mill's easily-consumpted parts due to crashing the ore constitutes only quite a small portion while most of which is made by the grinding between the easily-consumpted parts themselves;They have also proved the relationship between the grinding effect of the mill and the revolving speed as well as number of circles,and how the quantity of mineral and the size of mineral affect the grindind efficiency at the equisite of stability of speed and number of circles.The working parameters and working conditions of main parts of the vertical centifugal mill are gained through dynamics research,which provides the theoretic base for practical use of the vertical centifugal mill.The principle of "more crashing and less grinding" is an important way of decreasing consumptions of the energy and materials in grinding and crushing.And equipment like the vertical centifugal mill can realize fine crashing and crude grinding,thus having a nice prospect for practical use and fairly good economic value.
