Both of precise injection mould and precise injection molding are the key technologies in the process of rapid developing precise plastic parts. At present, the main problem of the mold design and manufacture is iterative mould modification led by structure modification of the precise plastic parts.In addition,nonuniform temperature of mould results in asymmetry shrinkage of plastic parts, and unstable molded part dimensions in injection molding. Introduce the Stereo Lithography Apparatus(SLA) technology into the process of rapid developing precise plastic parts, treat the design, evaluation, modification, manufacture of the precise plastic parts as a closed loop, avoid iterative mould modification led by structure modification of the precise plastic parts. Introduce the conformal cooling technology, and manufacture the injection mold with conformal cooling channels via in-direct Selective Laser Sinter(SLS), offering the substantial improvement in the control of mold temperature to keep it in steady state, improvement the uniform and efficient cooling of parts and the resulting quality of parts produced, influencing both the rate of the process and the injection cycle time. In order to decrease the period of precise drip-emitter development, computer fluid dynamics(CFD) was used to establish the channel for drip-emitter, Rapid Prototyping(RP) was used to decide the shape and structure of the product, then fabricate it with rapid tooling(RT) and design the injection mold of drip-emitter with the help of the precise injection mold design methodology. Through the application to the design of drip-emitter injection mold, the key points to the design of the precise injection mold is presented。Analyze the structure of the drip-emitter, get the best parameters of the injection molding, obtain the parts with good quality. Use the core insert with conformal cooling channels induce the systematic method for the design of cooling system for mold based on RP technology.
