In injection molding production,cooling time is the main factor that affects the production efficiency and production cost.Cooling effect is the key factor affects product quality.Compared with the traditional cooling system,the conformal cooling system makes the injection molding products get uniform cooling,higher cooling efficiency and better product quality.With the development of 3D printing technology,there are more researches on the application of conformal cooling technology in injection mold.How to apply the conformal cooling theory to the actual production of mold has important Significance of engineering practice.The purpose of this paper is to study the heat transfer mechanism and design specification of the injection mold channel.According to the optimization analysis of the specific product cooling effect,the mold cooling efficiency and the quality of products are improved,the design and manufacture of the plastic injection mold for the decorative ring of the combined headlamp are completed.The research contents are as follows:1.The heat transfer process and mechanism of the mold was analyzed by thermodynamics,and the mathematical model of heat transfer in the conformal cooling channel was established.The influence factors of cooling system on product quality and production efficiency are analyzed by using simulation,it is concluded that the factors affecting the cooling time and the temperature distribution of the mold are the thickness of the product wall,the diameter of the channel,the distance between adjacent channels and the distance between the center line of the channel and the cavity.2.The design ideas and specifications of the conformal cooling system are studied,and the influence of different sections of the conformal cooling channel and channel layout design on the cooling efficiency and cooling effect are analyzed.Based on the idea of feature classification,the structure classification and simulation analysis of typical products with typical features are carried out to verify the advantages of conformal cooling channels.3.Through orthogonal experiment and variance analysis,the design variables of injection molding process were optimized,and the best injection molding process was obtained.4.According to the typical plastic products,the conformal cooling channel is designed,and the mold is made with SLM technology which proves that conformal cooling system has great advantages in forming cycle,warpage deformation and product quality,the reliability and practicability of the conformal cooling channel technology are explained.In this paper,based on many researches on the conformal cooling system,the design,optimization and application of the conformal cooling system in practical production are further discussed.The practical production problems of injection mold enterprises are solved.
