In order to prevent the water pollution, monitoring the parameter of sewage draining by factories or residents is one important mission of environment protection. The thesis analyzed and implemented the wireless data link of the GPRS network and 802.11b wireless local network on the embedded ARM9 structured linux system. The research provided a new way to monitor the parameters of sewage draining used by factories or residents. The thesis introduced GPRS network and 802.11b wireless local network in the first place, because they are two representational wireless networks in the most of the researches. Then the thesis discussed the design of system. According to the requirement of application, we designed both the hardware system and the software system. The embedded processor S3C2410A based the ARM9 structure is the kernel of the hardware system. The minimum hardware system and the expandable function modules compose the hardware system. The minimum hardware system is the preliminary part that the hardware system could run. The expandable function module provides the function block in the factual application and can be configure flexibly. The software system uses the embedded linux operation system and the application software. The application software is composed of remote station application program and center station application program. Based on the design of the system, the realization of system includes the porting the embedded linux to our hardware platform, communication implementation, the real data memory structure implementation, design of the interface between the hardware system and GPRS network and the design of the interface between the hardware system and 802.11b wireless local network. The system has been heavily tested in the GPRS network and 802.11b wireless local network environment. Finally, the thesis concluded the design and implement of system and points out the short of system. The research bases the wireless network and embedded linux system. The system is heavily tested during the research and implementation. It is very helpful for the related research.
