With the rapid development of national economy since the reform and opening up, a series of problems have emerged, especially water pollution. According to the survey, there exist shortcomings. On the one hand, monitoring coverage is not wide, most of the online monitoring for sewage treatment plant, and for rivers and lakes mainly use offline detection; On the other hand, lack of effective network monitoring, can’t provide a convenient and efficient data support for management decision.Based on the analysis of the equipment operation environment, for the water quality monitoring provides a reliable and stable hardware and software design scheme. To realize the collection of water quality parameters and is based on embedded Internet access technology to realize remote monitoring of water quality and water quality integrated management information. System using solar panels and lithium battery intelligent power supply system and GPRS wireless network communication effectively solve the source wide distribution, complex wiring difficulties. Through the GPRS network can carry out a wide range of network at the same time, convenient observation of water quality monitoring personnel system, is also lay a foundation for the establishment of the Internet of things.The whole system is mainly divided into three modules:the scene terminal, the server terminal, and the mobile terminal. The hardware is mainly to solve the signal acquisition, processing, data processing and packaging upload function. Acquisition module choice dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand (cod) of water quality, pH, water temperature, salinity and total dissolved solids, ammonia nitrogen value and conductivity of eight parameters for testing. The water quality parameters by single chip microcomputer to collect and through GPRS DTU will be transmitted to the server, the data collected completed the embedded terminal connected to the Internet. In the mobile terminal, a detailed analysis of the structure of the Linux operating system, transplantation, crossover tool chain construction method, the kernel cutting, compilation and transplantation, designed the embedded Linux terminal monitoring software is designed, so that monitoring personnel real-time observation of field data, at the same time also can share resources, let people can easily know the surrounding water quality situation, ensure the safety of people’s life and property.
