Research And Practice On Assessment Model For Urban Human Settlements

With the development of industrialization and urbanization, it has been becoming a outstanding problem to improve urban human settlements to which global people must attach importance. To realize the sustainable development of human settlements and maintain a good residential environment in order to meet the public's demand of living standard, it is imperative to set up a scientific and standardizing assessment method for the urban human settlements quality. Nowadays, Yubei district of Chongqing has been grasping the chance of west developmentand and Chongqing of directly under center government, and put forward the object of constructing optimal human settlements under the advantage of geography and environment.This paper comes from the program: optimal constructing model of human settlements in Yubei district of Chongqing (7558). Based on large quantities of data and former research,urban human settlements quality assessment system was firstly set up which is composed of the five systems including society-economy environment, nature-ecology environment, public facility construction, environment resource conservation and environment management capacity. Ideas such as the humanist and the sustainable development were carried through in the course of analyzing.According to the assessment and demand of human settlements, computer technology was introduced into the paper, and urban human settlements environment quality assessment management system (UHSEQAMS) was exploited on the ground of Visual Basic 6.0. This system has module, hiberarchy and relatively integrated function, and is easy to use. Urban human settlements quality can be evaluated as single assessment and comprehensive assessment by this system on the basis of the specialities of assessment management. The result of human settlements environment quality of Yubei district that is evaluated by UHSEQAMS is reasonable, which shows that UHSEQAMS is practicable.Based on the result of human settlements quality assessment of Yubei. district and the problem of the construction of human settlements, the paper put forward the model of urban water resource conservation and utilization,the model of municipal solid waste(MSW) recycling use, the model of constructing ecological landscape architecture.
