High-accuracy rolling can manufacture product which has high accuracy, high quality profile and performance. Roll pass design is the key process which achieve high-accuracy rolling.When the optimum theory and computer technology was continuously developed, people employed the optimum theory to design the roll-pass, solved and improved the ratio of high quality product, energy consumption, balanced rolling load etc. But the optimum result can't achieve high-accuracy rolling. Based on cost reduction design, it is being developed that employing simulation appraise the roll pass system. Studying roll pass optimum design and the method of appraising optimum result is an important purpose.The main research objective of this paper is the tandem line of semi-tandem rolling of a factory (Φ500×2/Φ420×6/Φ320×6). Based on practical situation of the line, majorized function and rolling parameter model, which can accurately calculated the rolling parameter, is established. With optimized objective of the roll-pass of round steel, this paper builds the standard majorized model and achieves the optimum design. under plastic theory, this paper simulate tandem rolling of round steel and discovered the quiddity of metal forming of round steel rolling. And at last the optimum result is appraised by FEM method.With the research of process technology of bar and based on the classic theory of rolling and technical experience, rolling parameter model is established. Required by the process of manufacture, this paper advanced the min-Energy and absent equilibrium of load of rolling machine, built the majorized model. With the optimum object ofΦ14, this paper transfers the majorized model to the standard optimum model. By the AI algorithms, genetic algorithms(GA), introduced, and the characteristic of multi-object function optimum model, this paper employs the adaptive method of weight, advances the flow process of roll design which is based on GA, and achieves the optimum result which consists of optimum roll pass system, process parameter ,and force-energy parameter. The next step is to simulate the roll process. With the theory of elastic-plasticity and the analysis of plastic flow of deformed area, this paper simulates the process of rolling of round steel.
