Along with agile manufacturing mode going deep into the cell layer, higher requirement to the real-time information collection and tracking of enterprise bottom manufacturing unit is put forward. The tool real-time information collection and tracking can implement tool planning and scheduling in Agile Manufacturing Cell (AMC) in effect, and improve the machining efficiency and agility of the manufacturing cells. In order to realize the tool information collection and tracking in manufacturing processes. Cutting tool information tracking system for Agile Manufacturing Cell is introduced under these demands. And the following aspects are researched in this dissertation.Based on the requirement, which agile manufacturing cell demand for tool real-time information, the corresponding tool information model is established, and the whole structure of tool information tracking system is put forward, after that the functional module design and database design of tool information tracking system are accomplished successfully.Based on the comparison of existing marking technologies, this dissertation strengthens study on the tool direct marking and identification technology, such as tool coding, tool marking and integration of scanner and system. Real-time acquisition of the adjusting data is realized by the integration of system and tool-measure device. Based on CNC machine network, a tool machining process information acquisition and storage project is proposed, and the calculation of tool-life based on tool machining information acquisition is realized.According to above viewpoint, the particular analysis and design are accomplished with UML, and tool information tracking system is developed with java and Oracle. The above technologies are validated.
