Study On Evaluation Of Ecological Environment And Influencing Factor Of Vulnerability In Alxa Youqi

Alxa Youqi is located in the west of Inner Mongolia. Ecological environment ofthe study area is not well. And it is the main source area of the dust storm. The mainlandforms of the study area are desert, gobi and serra, which belongs to the warmtemperate zone and deserta arid region. The climate is the typical aridic continentalclimate.Based on the regional geology, meteorology, vegetation, land utilization andhuman culture data from the field work, remote sensing and the landforms, thecomprehensive research on Alxa Youqi has been carried out in this paper.This paper introduces several methods about evaluation of ecologicalenvironment. According to comparing with these methods, an evaluation indexsystem for the ecological environment of the study area has been established. Andthe pattern recognition approach is used to evaluate the groundwater and climate, theanalytic hierarchy process (AHP) method is used to evaluate the present situation ofthe ecological environment of the study area. The two methods complement for eachother, which evaluate the ecological environment in different sides. And which is ofcertain significance to better the evaluation method system of ecologicalenvironment and to carry out the study in other similar areas.On the basis of the comprehensive information of a great deal of geology,remote sensing, meteorology, hydrology, social and human culture of the study area,this dissertation has systematically analyzed the relation between ecologicalenvironment and land disaster and has discussed the driving mechanism ofecological environment of this area. The research results indicate that the geologicalfactors, meteorology factors, vegetation, hydrology and other natural factors are thekey factors of land desertification.Due to the controlling factors of landform features, the earth's surface are desertand gobi, which offer abundant material source for the desertification, and they arethe basic material source of ecological environment deteriorated.The arid climate is the key factor to the vulnerable ecological environment ofAlxa Youqi, especially the great differences between the rainfall precipitation andevaporation capacity, which is the key factors to interpret the ecological environmentdeteriorated of study area. At the same time, the disastrous weather, such as the duststorm, motivate the ecological environment deteriorated of the study area.The human activities in this area just accelerate the progress of desertificationin the atrocious climatic environments. On the basis of the feature in the study area,this paper gives some advices in recovering the ecological environment.
