Research On Water Environment Capacity Of Haoxi River In Jinyun

Water environment capacity is a basic theory of environmental science, which reflects the principles of pollutant transfer and deposit in water environment as well as the environment tolerance in the particular function. In practice, water environmental capacity is the basis of environmental objective management and a main constrained condition of district environmental planning as well as the key technique of the total water pollutant control.As a kind of resource, the water environment capacity has not only the characteristics of natural resources, but also its own characteristics. This paper has reviewed the basic theories on water environment capacity and river water environment capacity calculation models in detail;with collecting a large quantity of environmental monitoring data, surveying data and hydrologic data, the paper researched the water environment capacity of Haoxi River and provided scientific basis for the integrated treatment and the water resources management. This paper primarily includes three parts as follows:1 .Pollution source investigation and water quality assessmentIn general, the water of Haoxi River has a good quality and it satisfies the water quality request of function area after we analyzed the environmental monitoring data of 2004 and 2005. Most industrial enterprises in Haoxi River basin has already set up sewage treatment facilities, and the industrial wastewater discharges up to the standard. But it also exists blank in agriculture non-point sources and municipal sewage pollution. Along the river basin, sewage of main residents area has no decontamination measures because of the behindhand town infrastructure;furthermore, it's lack of essential managing measures since the manager didn't attach enough importance to the agriculture non-point sources.2. Water environment capacity calculationThe paper adopts one-dimension water quality model simulating and calculating relevant parameter of organic degradation, the water environment capacity calculation model adopt the water environment capacity E that is equal to the permitting quantity W. By calculated, the COD environment capacity is 10621 kg/d, equally COD environment capacity of the Haoxi River is about 1806 kg/d each 5km.And in some hydrological condition COD discharged into Haoxi River has exceeded the water environment capacity.3. Water pollution control measureAnalyzing the shortage of water resource protection, according to the characteristic of pollution sources and the capacity calculation result, the paper puts forward some water pollution control measures. For example, continuing to do well in controlling industry pollution sources;strengthening the management of agriculture non-point sources and municipal sewage pollution;distributing water environment capacity reasonably;changing the irrational water utilization manner;intensify the management of watercourse environment;building reservoir to enlarge the Haoxi river water current quantity for changing the water environment capacity;extending environmental protection propagandize and raising environmental protection consciousness etc.
