The present study represents the systematic examination of the effects on the silver(I)sulfonate incorporating neutral ligands. Eight silver(I) sulfonate coordination solids arereported. The solid-state structures of silver(I) disulfonates incorporated four differents kindsof neutral ligands, which are ( 3-iso=3-methylisoquinoline, a monodentate ligand;bipy=4,4'-bipyridine, a rigid divergent bidentate ligand;biim=1,1'-(1,4-butanediyl)bis(imidazole), a flexibility divergent bidentate ligand;hmt=hexamethylenetetramine, a potential tetradentate ligand)(Scheme 1). Eight novel silver(I)sulfonates have been synthesized successfully. Herein, we describe the details of thepreparation and characterization of the eight novel silver(I) polymers:[Ag2L(3-iso)2][AgL3]·5H2O (1), [Ag2(bipy)2(H2O)] [AgL(bipy)]·7H2O (2),[Ag(biim)][Ag2(biim)2L] (3), [Ag3L(hmt)2·3H2O]·H2O(4), Ag[K5L2]·2H2O (5). All crystalstructures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and the compounds arealso characterized by IR and elemental analyses. Compound 1 possess discrete structure, while compounds 2-5 show polymeric structures with different dimensionalities, respectively. Moreover, the compounds 1 and 2 formed 3D supramolecular structure motif throughhydrogen bonding and π…π stacking.
