| The project of "West-East Gas Transmission" is one of four national key construction projects in the tenth "five-year" period, is also a sign project that China actualizes the Strategy of Development in West Region. Depending on the conceptual development of soil and water conservation in "West-East Gas Transmission" project, according to the request of relational laws and regulations, national standard and trade standard strictly, based on the field investigation, the blueprint of soil and water conservation in the "West-East Gas Transmission" project is analyzed and studied systematically and the main conclusions are showed as follows.1.Based on the analysis of primary erosivity and geologic agents and geomorphological elements and surface conditions, 3 types areas, 12 secondary areas and 25 third level areas of the soil and water conversation of the project of "West-East Gas Transmission" are divided.2. I have predicted the area of landform disturbance, surface soil and vegetation destruction, soil and water conservation facilities and amount of spoil and waste slag by means of analogy analysis. Aiming at the characteristics of new soil and water loss in the project area and according to the existing study results, I have predicted the potential amount of soil and water loss by means of the adjoined method of mathematical model and analogy analysis.3. The extent of responsibility of soil and water loss control is delimited, which is divided into constructing area of the project and the direct influencing area. Relevant measure system of soil erosion control is laid in the divided area of soil and water loss.4. Different control blueprints are put forward for the pipe excavation of the main project and the disturbed area including farmland in oasis, cropland in plain, cropland in terrace and gully, farmland in plateau form as well as waste slag field, field of temporary establishment and nonvolatile road, in order to improve the productivity ofthe land.5. I have put forward the design of windbreak and sand fixation in the passing ground of the pipe excavation and disturbing area of the main project. The designs of afforestation and beautification are put forward in pressure reducing station, pressureincreasing station and sub-output station. Designs of afforestation and forest shelter belt are carried out in companion road. These blueprints or designs are selected comparatively. To select typical section of an area having a definite representativeness for the control highlight, afforestation project is designed for the formed ecavation, backfill and surface of waste slag.
