In recent years, soil and water loss has become one of the serious environmental problems in the world. China is one of the countries with the most serious soil and water loss in the world. Because of the special natural geography and social economic condition, the soil and water loss has become one of the main environmental problems. The problem of man-made soil and water loss caused by the large scale development and construction is still very prominent. The serious soil erosion, is the concentrated reflection of China's ecological deterioration, the threat of national ecological safety, the safety of drinking water, flood control and food security, economic and social development of mountainous areas, so it is urgent to solve the problem of the prevention and control of soil erosion. The prediction of soil and water loss is the foundation of soil and water loss prevention and control work.This study describes the present situation of soil erosion prediction and prevention at home and abroad, to Rudong- Haimen- Chongming Island gas pipeline project as an example, the design of soil erosion prediction and comprehensive prevention and control measures of the main research results are as follows:(1) the project construction disturbance and destruction of the original landform, resulting in accelerated erosion area is 139.09hm2, the project may cause soil erosion amount of 5528.7t, the background loss is 602.32 t, possible additional soil erosion 4926.38.(2) according to the characteristics of soil and water loss in the project area, the measures of soil and water conservation, plant and temporary measures are adopted. Measures for the design of the combined measures.Engineering measures: buried trench laying construction area, land remediation project implementation of topsoil stripping, maximize the protection of surface soil. Gas station around the layout of permanent drainage ditch, drainage ditch common rectangular section, with masonry masonry; drainage culvert to export access channel and the natural drainage system. The pipeline across the river, ditch excavation area, take the sack soil slope, masonry revetment measures, erosion control, soil erosion.Plant measures: to take the planting way to protect the disturbed surface of trees, green gas station selection of local or native plants suitable to local environmental conditions to plant varieties, Buxus, red Shi Nan, Sophora japonica, barberry, cypress, camphor, lawn and shrub and garden tree species combination.Temporary protective measures: block construction unit arranged around the color plate Lan Dang, template preparation, and layout of temporary drainage ditches, take temporary bedding, for excavation and temporary pile Lan Dang, covering measures.(3) after adjustment for the goal of prevention of perturbation land improvement rate was 95%, total soil erosion degree 91%, soil erosion control ratio of 1, dregs rate 95%, the vegetation recovery rate of 97%, the forest coverage of 22%. The above indicators are in the construction of the two level of soil and water loss prevention and control projects. Can effectively prevent and control soil erosion, reduce the impact on the ecological environment, social benefits significantly.
