The object of study in this paper is Hydraulic Gauge Control (HGC) system of 1676 mm 4-stand tandem cold rolling mills of Bensteel cold rolling plant. Based on the theory of multi-disciplinary modeling and collaborative simulation running, the static and dynamic characteristic of HGC system having an effect on the strip steel's thickness precision was researched to optimize the system. In this study, a complete multi-disciplinary co-simulation model of HGC system was built. Such as, SIMULINK model in the fourth chapter, vertical vibration model of HGC's srewdown system in the fifth chapter and a virtual-prototyping model integration with mechanism, hydraulics, control system based on the two chapters mentioned above. Validity and credibility of the model was proved by simulation experiments. The model has many virtues such as clear structure, vivid results, and controllable parameters.
