Open architecture control has been becoming the essential requirement formodern CNC system. The development of CNC technique has being influencedvitally by the technological system revolution, i.e. from the closure technologicalsystem to the open architecture CNC system differs greatly from traditional CNCsystem on both the integrated system structure and concrete algorithms. Thisdissertation presents a systematic theoretical frame of the open architecture CNCsystem, and illustrates the implementation of an open CNC system based on theoperating system PMAC. So this paper targets on establishing open-architecture CNCplatform fitted for field teaching characters, which supports a reliable and friendlyhardware and system environment for integrative CNC teaching.Through the research of open architecture NC systems at home and abroad , thethesis analyzes and contrasts several open modes and system platform a modular NCsystem has been constructed which consists of PMAC motion controller embedded inthe standard socket of industrial process computer (IPC), AC servo motors , servodrivers and encoders , etc . A teaching platform are provided which students do theexperiment,course and graduated to design.The research includes the part of hardware and software. In the process ofdesigning the platform , first electrical components , such as servo motors and thematched servo drivers , etc. have been selected by calculating . Second , the motionprogram of the platform , applied to carry out the linear and circular movement of theteaching platform , has been developed by G code , T code and M code of PMAC .Finally , The platform of the teaching are opened out application , which the typicalexperiments are passed . The machine manufacturing combined with the factual needs in the teachingprocess, the thesis researches open architecture NC systems at the application ofteaching. Make the best of the open architecture characteristics, applied to carry outthe new mode of the teaching.
