Filament winding machine is the equipment special for winding products of composite filament;presently it is limited to the traditional two-dimensional graphic design. Therefore, we can not do a dynamic design and solve assembly inspection, interference and mechanism simulation in question, It makes more installation, debugging workload, and even lead to duplication of design, manufacturing, causing material, human waste.With the development of fiber composite materials shaping industry, a simple two-dimensional design of winding equipment does not meet modern design has a short cycle, low-cost, high-quality design requirements. Thus, the 3D parametric design of filament winding equipment around a research direction.This project will design a two post four movement gantry style winding machine, we use PRO/ENGINEER as the platform for the design, based on its structure and design features, through parameters related to the dimensions to realize the whole sets of the machine parametric design and its mechanism simulation. Completed major work in the following areas:1. Three-dimensional modeling of the gantry style winding machine;2. Parametric design for spare parts, components and whole sets, and build a library of standard part;3. Through secondary development of PRO/ENGINEER, developing parametric design interface;4. Mechanism simulation for the winding machine, involves the movement of a simulated line-type approval process was haunted, and structural interference checks.Parametric design of gantry style winding machine based on PRO/ENGINEER parameters linkage and dimension driven functions, we generate parametric design interface by developing PRO/TOOLKIT applications with object-oriented programming technology, and realize the design system integrates with PRO/ENGINEER.Parametric design of Whole sets makes the winding machine series designbecome a reality and helps shorten product design and development cycle, improve product design quality and lower production costs.
