The development of open NC technology will inextricably result in the requirement for intelligent and network. The traditional method based on the special PC depends on the wire communication and Network technology. As the NC technology heighten the need for intelligent and network as well as more and more limitation of the wire communication and Network technology is exposed, this method can not meet our demand any more. Along with the rapid development of mobile communication technology as well as the rushing of smart pocket devices, it is more likely to apply them to the industrial control field.Under such background and precondition, a new kind of CNC system is put forward in this paper. It's composed of two parts: the embedded machine controller based on Windows CE.NET and the mobile controller based on Smartphone, both of which adopt wireless technology to communicate with each other. This mode changes thoroughly the machine-centered operating mode to the human-centered one. It makes the operation more flexible and reliable and one worker can operate multiple CNC machines. The reasonable integration of distribution and ability to move is achieved. In this paper, the way to choose and implement the wireless technology in the new CNC system is discussed in detail. First, several popular wireless technologies is compared according to the development trend of NC system and the development situation of our country and the foreign countries. So the Bluetooth is chosen to achieve the communication of the embedded machine controller and Smartphone. Then the Ad hoc network and how to apply it in our new CNC system is discussed in detail. The composing of hardware, protocol and profile of Bluetooth as well as the programming model and deployment are investigated, which are based on the platform of Windows CE.NET. At last, the implementation of the Bluetooth of the new CNC system is discussed.
