Ecological Carrying Capacity (ECC) is the foundation of sustainable development,and its'research is advantageous in implementing the sustainable developmental strategy. Maintaining the ecosystem integrity and controlling the humanity's activity within the ecosystem's carrying capacity are the most fundamental and most principal conditions under which the ecosystem and the regional sustainable development can be realized.Karst Region is such a region, in which environment is frangible, water and soil resources are relatively short, the erosion and rocky desertification effect is easily occurred, the ability on resisting the disaster and disturbance is weak. Guiyang is a city in which Karst is developed typically. With the society-economy scale's sustainable development,the people's living-standard costant grow and the the quick increase of the population , environment is largely destroyed so that the contradiction is increasingly obvious between human and nature,resource's exploitation and entironment's protection and their sustainability in Guiyang. In order to control the man's activity within the ecosystem's carring capacity, it needs to exploit and use reasonably the resources, at the same time, know the supporting capacity of diffent kinds of resources, know the environment capability and it's remedy capacity, know the ecosystem's elasticity so that resources aren't exploited blindly and economy isn't acquired at the expense of the environment. Otherwise, if human's activity is beyond the the supporting capacity of the resources, eco-environment will be destroyed ,ecosystem's integrality will be damaged, and economic sustainable increase will lose the foundation.
