On account of the requirement of digital and high precision multi-color printing, this paper makes a thorough study to image identification and processing techniques which can be used to quality verification of color printing on the basis of traditional printing and initially planning frame work of quality verification system of color printing. In the light of common quality drawbacks of multi-color printing products, a quality verification plan of multi-color printing is drawn up.In this paper, image collecting, denoising, color separations, template matching, texture analyzing and dot gain or spread of quality inspecting of multi-color printing are analyzed theoretically and verified by experiment. Correlative algorithms of denoising, matching, feature extraction and texture analysis are programmed in VC and verified. Furthermore, ideal results have been got under a high processing speed.In the paper, color separations, template matching and texture analyzing are applied to locating and quality inspection for presswork. Standard images and awaiting inspected images are respectively processed and compared. And on the basis of it, the matching locating and register locating will be achieved. By programming and experimentation, the feasibility and superiority of this project in the quality inspecting of multi-color presswork have been proved.This dissertation not only makes a thorough theoretical analyzing and verification of quality inspect of multi-color presswork but also lays a sound foundation for setting up a complete printing quality inspect and control system of multi-color presswork.
