Chemiluminescence (CL) is now considered as a very sensitive analytical method and applied to different fields such as life sciences, geological analysis, pharmacology, clinical medicine and environmental molecular biology detection etc. because of its high sensitivity, low detection limits, wide linear ranges, measure device simple and apt to realize automation advantage. In recent years, Lv etc. report that a new chemiluminescence reaction is found when injecting some substances into reaction mixture after the finish of several CL reactions, such as potassium permanganate-fluorescence reaction, potassium permanganate-luminol reaction and potassium ferricyanide-Luminal reaction. Such phenomenon is named as a post-chemiluminescence (PCL) phenomenon and the corresponding chemiluminescence reaction as a post-chemiluminescence reaction. This thesis is made up of the review and research paper. In review part, analytical application of iodine-luminol system, periodate-organic compound system and potassium periodate-luminal system in the past ten years was summarized in review ; we introduced emphatically their analysis applications and relevant mechanism. In research paper, extensive research was done on potassium periodate- luminal system, we found that many kinds of organic matters can produce PCL phenomena in this system, optimized the condition of reactions at the same time, carried on the preliminary discussion to their mechanisms, set up new methods to determine isoniazid, glucuronolactone and mecysteineh hydrochloride, thus structure the new PCL system of potassium periodate- luminal from theory and practice.1. Determination of isoniazid, glucuronolactone and mecysteineh hydrochloride in potassium periodate -luminol reactionA strong CL signal was detected when isoniazid, glucuronolactone and mecysteineh hydrochloride was injected into the reaction mixture after the finish of CL reaction of alkaline luminol and potassium ferricyanide. Based on this, optimizing the experimental conditions of the PCL reactions and establishing the methods using the PCL reactions to analyze these organic substances. The PCL reaction methods allow to determine 1.0 × 10-9 4.0×10-7g/mL isoniazid, 5.0 × 10-8 1.0 × 10-5g/mL...
