This paper gives a detailed introduction of our research work on the processing arts of sheets or films of Biaxially Oriented Polyvinyl Fluoride (or BOPVF ), with an emphasis on the structural features of resins, formulation and selection of molding parameters of extruding- flowcasting-biaxially stretching method, and design of processing lines for scale-up experiments.During the experimental work, it was found that latent solvents played an important role in the flowcasting process of this hard-to-extrude material. By use of this processing method, the problems brought by the structural characteristics of Polyvinyl Fluorite resins were resolved, and the produced films met a bright foreground of application with superb properties such as UV resistance, mechanical strength and light transmittance. The influences of resin's character, selection of latent solvents and processing parameters on films' properties were also systematically discussed in this paper. Besides , for the first time blowing molded films were acquired successfully, the feasibility of this method in manufacturing was also briefly discussed.The whole design process are based on the lab's miniexperiment's equipment, processing parameters and result.
