The Technology Of The Radial Gear Shaving And The Research Of The Cutting Tool Application

From the current situation of machining of auto gears, in order to improve the quality of gear product,the paper gives a detailed discussion on gear shaving technology, adjustment of radial shaving tools and machine tools. Also, a concrete analysis of gear shaving is made. Based on the theoretical analysis of tooth surface of radial shaving tool, the shape of the surface is concave in the middle area. With the aid of computer program, the theoretical computation becomes simpler and faster. The reshaping amount and regrinding of radial shaving tool are the problems encountered in practical manufacturing, which is also an important issue in quality control.Using the universal shaving machine as example, the adjusting method and some common problems occured in the adjusting process are proposed. The technology analysis in gear manufacturing is undertaken for the disk-shaped gears in the auto gearshift from the angle of product standardization. The error of radial shaving is emphatically analysed.The paper is mainly devoted to the analysis of radial shaving in the form of combination of theory and practice. Finally, a comprehensive summary is conducted to the tooth profile error, axial error, accumulative pitch error in gear shaving.
