The traditional measuring instruments are directed to a project to measure the error, to obtain a set of error, must use all kinds of instruments.In this way, the efficiency is low, the precision is not enough. Because the gear accuracy is very high, therefore, the detection of the gear is very important.Three coordinate measuring machine can be clamped once the error measurement, has the advantages of high efficiency, high precision, wide measuring range, high reliability.But the present stage using three coordinate measuring machine gear error, still only individual error measurement, complicated measuring process, the measuring efficiency is low.Based on the general cylindrical spur gear as an example to discuss the three coordinate measuring machine for the measurement of the gear application, based on the accurate measurement of gear profile, tooth profile data obtained. At the same time from the motion precision, smoothness, backlash three aspects of the assessment indicators in a representative selection of the 6 projects:error tooth ring radial runout, base tangent length changes, error of tooth form, tooth thickness deviation, the base pitch error, average length of common normal line deviation error, according to the project definition, to determine the correct algorithm. Then use the Visual Basic software, based on the three coordinate measuring machine measuring gear profile data to draw gear tooth profile, by taking 30 points determine gear hole center coordinates, and calculate the gear modulus, dividing the radius of the circle and the radius of base circle, and then calculate the corresponding gear error.This article is a gear error measurement, a new method is provided, fast, accurate, simple operation, less manual intervention, obviously improves the precision of measuring solution.
