Environmental mercury pollution is one of several essential problems faced from the global. There are numerous minings in Guizhou, however the mercury mining area of Danzhai, the high arsenic coal area of Xingren and the mercury mining area of Wanshan are the unique and the mercury mining area of Wanshan is the famous for its largest area in our country. Three areas were choosed in my research works. It carries out the mercury in the environment for mining geochemical studies to reveal the distribution of mercury in the mining and pollution, which is of great significance.Chemical analytical principle has been used to research on the distribution feature of mercury concentration in water, soil and sediment.Typical minings of Danzhai, Xingren and Wanshan in Guizhou, the mercury concentration in water are 6.18~1540.39ppt, 123.46~2136.15ppt, 5.17~1885.40ppt, and the average concentration of mercury in the three mines' waters are 158.10ppt, 294.76ppt, 712.26ppt. The distribution feature of mercury concentration is that Wanshan>Xingren>Danzhai, but in the river is that Xingren> Wanshan> Danzhai. These are mainly attributed to the chemical characteristics of water, the reserves of mercury mineralization zone, the mercury mining scales, and the mine closure time.Typical minings of Danzhai, Xingren and Wanshan in Guizhou, the mercury concentrations in soils are 0.67~20.89mg/kg, 0.01~2.65mg/kg, 1.1~164.61mg/kg, The distribution feature of mercury concentration is that Wanshan>Danzhai> Xingren, similarly in the sediments. These are mainly attributed to the mining's geological background, the distribution of mercury belt and the mercury mining scale, and the mine closure time.
