Analyses Of Chongqing Environment Protection Industry And Suggestions For Its Development

The international environment protection industry (EPI) have developing almost 100 years. From the United Nations Conference on Human Environment in 1970's, the EPI have developed as the pillar cornerstone industry in developed countries. For long time, we didn't understand the theory of EPI, people considered the environment protection was public service., the government should pay all money for it. The thinking must obstruct the development of EPI。These factors weigh heavily against the effectiveness of EPI. The our national Planning of Economy and Society Development from 2006 to 2010 point out that develop EPI in a big way,raise capital from multiple ways.Chongqing became a municipality in 1997, and one of the four major missions which the central government gave is to enforce the protection and the construction of environment. The EPI is the important basic point of the protection of environment, and it is one of the most potential new points of the economic development. The development of the industry of environment has the important signification for the achievement of the target of Chongqing social and economic development, and for the continual development.In the article, we first definite the EPI, and use the result of the economic census in 2004 and other information to analyze the current situation of Chongqing EPI.
