With the project background of the subsidence and deformation of the surface of Fushun Electric Power plant, the thesis analyses all factors and their complication, diversification and mutual affections resulting in the deformation. Based on it, the influence by the West Open Pit exploiting on the slopes, ground and surface near the pit is put emphasis on study with FLAC3D numerical simulation software. The displacement fields, the stress fields and the velocity fields are got. According to the study result, the mechanism and characteristics of the ground deformation is analysed in detailed.With the unique advantage of the Nerval Network dealing with the complex non-lineal problem and the data documents of the ground subsidence in the power plant, the BP network model is set up and then is confirmed to be effective and accurate in predicting the movement through training and testing. It can be a new technique to predict and analyze the subsidence and deformation of the ground of the power plant.
