| Imidazoline was synthesized by two-step dehydration using fatty acid and polyamine(polyamine (N-(β—hydroxyl- ethyl)-ethylenediamine and diethylenetriamine) as raw materials. Its alkylation's compounds are the main component of corrosion inhibitor. Anti-corrosion rate was investigated by IR, weight-losing method, linear polarization, SEM. The structures of ring- imidazoline are analyzed by IR spectrum. The defectiveness of inhibitors in 8% HCl solution is investigated by means of static weight-losing method. The surface of carbon steel in the inhibitors solution is observed by SEM. The inhibition of imidazoline on inhibitors of carbon steel corrosion in HCl solution is studied using linear polarization. The relations of anti-corrosion rate with raw material ratio, pH value, concentration, alkylation reductant and polyamine are also discussed in this paper.The results indicate that cycle configuration imidazoline can be synthesized by two-step dehydrating in the temperature of 150℃ and 200℃. When the mol ratio of the fatty acid and polyamine is over 1:1.2, Anti-corrosion rate of the corrosion inhibitor can achieve more than 90 percent only using few of it. Furthermore, the anti-corrosion rate of the imidazoline corrosion inhibitor is relative to the proportion of the reactants and the pH value of the corrosion inhibitor.It will be got a high anti-corrosion rate When the pH vale of the imidazoline corrosion inhibitor is from 5 to 7 and adding in 2～3mLof it.Imidazoline inhibitor is a good inhibitor that can inhibit corrosion both in cathode and anode process. Corrosion inhibition effects decreased remarkably when using inhibitor beyond 3 hours.
