Facility agriculture is a high efficiency mean of agriculture production, which has ability to change the environment to suit the growth requests of beings, by using constructs and some adjusting tools. Developing the facility agriculture can increase additional value and has important meaning in increasing the farmers' income. The key part of the facility agriculture is the big shack and the glasshouse, and at present in China there are a lot of problems about the big shack and the glasshouse in price, engineering functions and so on, causing facility agriculture hard to be popular.These years, a new kind of the big shack support material is widely considered well, which has arisen in the yang ling's China Agriculture Forum many times. But that technique is invented by a farmer in Shandong province, almost having no basic parameters of the physics-chemistry and the mechanical performances about the material. The design calculation and regular production can't be carried on, and the users' legal benefit can't be well guaranteed. To meet this problem, this paper studied the applying functions of the new big shack material-the glass fiber strengthened compound material. According to the compound material experiment national standards, this research executed some experiments and measured the mechanical performances related big shack and glasshouse support. Applying the software ANSYS8.0, under the station's standard- 《the glasshouse design loads 》,this dissertation calculated the inner force of the new material support under practical loads and checked the security of the support. Synthetically compared the new material and other support materials in all aspects related to applying and using Artificial neural net carried on a misty adjudication between new material and other present big shack support materials. The all researches displayed that:(1)After experiments, 6 mechanical performances were known. There are: Compressive resistance 40.59MPa,Bending strength 85.76MPa,Peel strength 83.68 MPa,Shearing strength 7.53 MPa,Elastic modeling quantity1.61GP,Hardness52.1HB.Compared with the other existing support materials, the bending strength is superior to the plastic cement and the baton; other 5 items are between the plastic cement and the baton.
