Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) is one kind of general purpose polymer materials with high production and low price. Its soft produce has viscoelastic behavior, which is similar with rubber. It can be widely used in chemical, coal industry, electronic industry, computer and telecommunications. However, the surface resistivity of PVC materials is high to 1014~1017Ω It is easy to produce static electronic, which can lead to fire, explosion in many fields and the invalidation of electronic component. Adding antistatic agent is the most popular method that can improve the antistatic performance of polymer materials. However, the current antistatic agents have some defects, such as no enough antistatic property used in many fields and sensitive to atmospheric humidity. When the humidity is low, it can not fulfill the requirements of antistatic performance in coal industrial, surface resistivity must be lower than 3.0×108Ω. In this paper a new kind of effective antistatic agent was designed and synthesized. Then the antistatic agent was added into PVC materials with or without poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) in order to prepare a novel antistatic PVC materials. The structure and properties of the prepared antistatic PVC materials were studied by FTIR, 1H NMR, SEM and surface risistivity test. The main research results are as follows.1. Two quaternary ammonium salt compounds with a long chain of 12 or 16 carbon atoms was synthesized and used as an antistatic agent to be added into plasticized...
