The Research And Software Development On Dimentioning Of Paper Packaging Container CAD System

The functions of the paper packaging container CAD system abroad are rather strong, but few conform to the production demands and requires of packaging industry in our country. The paper packaging container CAD system at home is being at developing stage. Up to now, none of relatively mature software is applied to produce. This present condition has already affected seriously productivity of packaging industry in our country.By investigated the scale layer of packaging industry, the produce condition on the spot and the applied state of interrelated software in our country, this thesis puts forward the point of developing a paper packaging container software. When a folding carton profession-design software is developed, the situation of packaging industry and the correlations of all of processes should be taken into consideration. Meanwhile, it is emphasized that the difficulties of software development are solved. The software should be in possession of qualities of succeeding and opening.The point corresponds to the requires of production in our country. On the basis of the point, the software functions of the packaging structure design system in our school are extended and dimension modules are developed.In the process of extended the paper package structure design software of our school, design functions are perfected . The original parameterized design function is defined component design. The functions of standard design and free design are added. In the standard design, a whole carton elements base is built for the frequently used cartons and the standardized cartons. A linetype base and a pattern base are made in the free design to guide the process of producing packaging cartons.Functions of software are not only developed in the drawing layer but also extended in the designing layer. The establishment of headline column module makes for creating file to manage company and customers affirming file. In dimensioning modules, the free design is adopted the mode of catching fixed dots to mark dimentions. The standard design and the component design are used the mode of automatic dimensioning.
