In this paper, compositive research techniques including of in-situ measurement, three-dimensional numerical simulation and theoretical analysis are carried out to investigate the distribution character of abutment pressure with seam change, fracture field distribution and thickness effects of burst disaster in fully mechanized top-coal caving face, With the distribution character of fully mechanized top-coal caving face, make use of in-situ measurement, achieve movement laws of abutment pressure of fully mechanized top-coal caving face and tunnel with seam change; use three-dimensional numerical simulation analyse the stress field and fracture field distribution of fully mechanized top-coal caving face and tunnel when the seam and distance change. According to the abutment pressure distribution and fracture field, compositive damage and fracture mechanics create the essential connection between the abutment pressure distribution character in fully mechanized top-coal caving face and macrosopical stress shell, gain the relationship of abutment pressure, burst disaster and mining seam. It will give a beneficial reference to extend and apply fully mechanized top-coal caving face in other colliery which have properly coal seam for fully mechanized top-coal caving and burst disaster .
